WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY

Hamilton Engineering has a permanent wash down bay so that oils and contaminants can be filtered from water that is released into the soak wells. This will avoid engaging disposal companies to remove contaminated water.

At Hamilton Engineering all steels are segregated for recycling and placed in skip bins, we recycle solid carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminium, brass and bronze. Swarf is also collected from the machines and recycled.

Hamilton Engineering separates paper, cardboard and plastics from general waste for recycling.

CARBON REDUCTION POLICY

Hamilton Engineering has installed a 35kw solar power system onto the roof of the workshop. Early estimates suggest a power saving of 35%-40% from our previous power consumption.
